The new M5 equipped 14” MacBook Pros offer few new features other than a modest performance bump, a new architecture which doubles the maximum storage options from 2TB to 4TB and a substantial increase in SSD read/write speeds and memory bandwidth. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement when designing for repairability, especially where Apple’s complex engineering is concerned. So the big question remaining from this year's big M5 announcement is: did Apple upgrade the MacBook Pro’s repairability?
