With MobLand‘s finale leaving a key character’s fate up in the air, the actor has shared his thoughts on his character’s whereabouts and whether or not he dies towards Episode 10’s ending.
Anson Bloom clarified Eddie’s mindset in the conclusive moments of the British crime drama before delving into where the character could head after his altercation with Lara Pulver’s Bella.
Anson Boon on if Eddie dies in MobLand finale’s ending
In a recent interview, Anson Boon opened up about the fate of Eddie Harrigan, suggesting that he does not die in the MobLand Episode 10.
In the series finale, Eddie learns that he is not the biological son of Paddy Considine’s Kevin Harrigan and is instead the product of an affair his mother, Bella, had with Kevin’s father, Conrad Harrigan, played by Pierce Brosnan. Shell-shocked by this revelation, Eddie decides to confront Bella and ends up choking her. This is the last that viewers see of Eddie in the MobLand finale, causing many to question if he actually dies towards the end.
However, according to Anson Boon’s estimate, Eddie survives the whole ordeal and will now attempt to take some time to plot his next move. Speaking with TV Insider, the 25-year-old actor shed light upon the aftermath of Eddie’s fight with his mother and his possible whereabouts, noting, “He couldn’t stop himself. He was so overcome. But perhaps, [he] ran away. Zosia has given him a punch to the stomach, so she’s kind of taking the wind out of him. He’s gonna take some time to regroup before he eventually sees his brother, I guess, Kevin… yeah, before he sees him again. So perhaps he’ll have time to collect his thoughts and evaluate what his next move is.”
In a separate discussion with Men’s Journal, Boon reaffirms his beliefs about Eddie not dying in the MobLand finale, saying, “I think he is fleeing, and I think he just needs some time to be on his own. I think Eddie is thinking about his next move, because who do you trust anymore?”
At the time of writing, Paramount+ has not shared any official word regarding Season 2 of MobLand.
